Using your computer all day can easily cause tiredness, simply from staring at a bright screen for hours. As the day progresses, you don't want to be looking at a bright blue-light panel, so both Windows 10 and Mojave include a 'Night Shift' where your desktop warms during the day.
With Mojave, Apple went one step further and added a Dynamic Desktop feature. What this does is transition your wallpaper to match the time of day. It's also location-specific, too. The style of wallpaper you see midday June the 1st will differ from the same wallpaper on December 1st, primarily due to clock changes and when sunset timing differences. By December it's often getting dark by 4pm.
By default, Mojave ships with two variations, a beautiful Mojave desert and a very simple colour gradient. By midday expect a bright blue background. At 10pm, you'll be offered a much darker, almost black wallpaper to reflect the time of day.
Not only are you currently limited by these two variations in Mojave, but with only 16 images per set, sometimes they don't appear to change for a while. Between midday and 3pm we often see no variation at all using the Mojave Dynamic Desktop.
You can create your own Dynamic Desktop, but it's not easy. Ideally, you need a minimum 16 images, taken in the same location, transitioning your photography from morning through to midnight. This is a task and a half, even for semi-professional photographer.
The solution is 24 Hour Wallpaper. For only $6.99 you receive 58 different Dynamic Desktop wallpaper variations, including cities such as New York and mountain views from Yosemite. You also receive 24 hourly wallpapers per choice, so transitioning is more prominent, plus images in 3K or 5K resolution, suitable for an iMac Pro.
